The motto at Tolka Millwork has always been “Design, Build, Install – Guaranteed”. This project was a referral from another client whose kitchen we completed and was a client with a 1960′s rancher that was in need of a renovation simply due to the age.
As with many of the clients at Tolka Millwork, this was the first major renovation our clients had undertaken and included a new kitchen, peninsula eating area, and family room entertainment area. To proceed, we explained the design process, showed them samples of our work that might fit in their home, and questioned the clients as to how they wanted to see changes occurring.
Since all of our millwork at Tolka Millwork is custom designed for your space, we will usually put together at least three to four floor plans for kitchen renovations, and one to three designs for items such as entertainment centres, plus a sample elevation to illustrate how a particular wall may appear.
With our clients able to see the possibilities in future designs, preferred details are picked out of different designs, styles of cabinets are chosen, and a particular type of face wood for the doors and trim is decided upon.
With a particular design in place Tolka Millwork then gives all of our clients exact specifications for their project, finished floor plans and elevations of all cabinet surfaces, and an exact fixed cost for their millwork.
